Tarifa is the sourthernmost point of mainland Europe. The better known 'Europa Point' in Gibraltar is around 10 kilometres further north. On clear days, there is an excellent view of Africa across the Straits of Gibraltar, only 15 kilometres away.

To get to Tarifa, you have various transports options available to you, even with it being a town that isn't well communicated to the rest of the province. If you are arriving into one of the airports in Andalucia, we strongly recommend you hire the services of a private taxi or transfer, which are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

From Tangiers in Morocco you can catch a ferry which takes you to Tarifa.

Tarifa doesnt have a train station, but the RENFE train station in Algeciras is close by. From Algeciras there are numerous bus connections that take around 20 minutes to get to Tarifa.
